Everything Built Green does has a green thread running through it. Whether the supply of Passivhaus Institute Certified high performance windows and doors, the supply and installation of an MVHR system, Photo voltaic array with battery storage, deep retrofits or one of our new build projects.
We target low energy consumption and the use of sustainable materials at every opportunity. The primary material used for the production of high performance windows is timber which has been procured from known traceable sources using Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest certification (PEFC) certified timber.
The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) are internationally recognized endorsements for the certification of sustainable forestry management. These certifications play a critical role in ensuring that forests are managed responsibly and sustainably. A key focus is the conservation of natural habitats, making sure that both fauna and flora are preserved, which is essential for maintaining biodiversity and ecosystem health. Equally important is the respect for the rights of forestry workers and local communities. Ensuring fair treatment, safe working conditions, and the involvement of local communities in forest management decisions are fundamental principles upheld by these certifications.
In addition to sustainable forestry practices, products sourced from certified forests are manufactured in compliance with ISO 14001. This is an internationally recognized standard that ensures an effective environmental management system is in place, guiding organizations to minimize their environmental footprint and improve their overall sustainability efforts.
